The museum as classroom

The Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center in Washington, D.C., will offer two new training programs in 2010. Designed for museum professionals and educators interested in using objects to teach young children, the innovative seminars provide opportunities for hands-on engagement with museum objects, lectures, discussions and  gallery experiences.

April 20-21:  Learning through Objects:  Museums and Young Children

July 22:  Creating Collections with Young Children
