Jan Augustine
April is Volunteer Appreciation Month. Each day we will put one of our valued volunteers in the spotlight as a way of saying thank you!
Since 2001, Jan Augustine has worked as a “floating” Smithsonian volunteer at the Museum of Natural History, the Postal Museum, the Museum of American History and the Reynolds Center. An inveterate traveler, she is seen here with King penguins at Gold Harbor, South Georgia Island in Antarctica. Her trip to Antarctica in 2008 completed her tour of all seven continents.
