Bring the kids to work on April 22

The Smithsonian is celebrating Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day® on Thursday, April 22, with more than 50 events, films, tours, demonstrations and interactive activities for SI staff and their children.

This is an opportunity for you to show your children where you work and how your contributions, and those of your colleagues, help the Smithsonian fulfill its mission to the community, the nation and the world, as well as to introduce them to the multitude of museum-related career opportunities available. Please recognize and participate in this special day by bringing your children to work on April 22 and let them see firsthand what working at the Smithsonian is all about!

The schedule of the Smithsonian’s Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day events is available on the SI Women’s Council Prism site. Be sure to RSVP for events that require prior registration.

Participation is limited to SI staff and their children. As appropriate, supervisors may grant up to three hours of administrative leave to staff who wish to participate in the day’s events.

Special thanks to all the Smithsonian units that have planned exciting activities for April 22!
