In a special ceremony held at the 7,600-foot level of Mt. Hopkins in Arizona, the new 60-inch reflecting telescope at the Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory is honor of Carlton W. Tillinghast, Jr., former director of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory.
