The Cooper-Hewitt Museum of Design and Decorative Arts reopens to the public in New York City with the inaugural exhibition “MAN transFORMS, Aspects of Design.” The museum houses one of the world’s leading collections of decorative arts items, including textiles, glass, ceramics, furniture, and wallpaper. The museum’ director, Lisa Taylor, is the first woman to direct a Smithsonian museum.
