Smithsonian Community Reef
April is Volunteer Appreciation Month. Each day we will put one of our valued volunteers in the spotlight as a way of saying thank you!
As part of the Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef project at the National Museum of Natural History, 800 volunteers contributed to the creation of the Smithsonian Community Reef, on display through April 24.
People of all ages and all walks of life helped create the Smithsonian Community Reef and further engaged with the Museum’s mission of creating awareness and appreciation of the natural world.
