Forget grandma’s green bean casserole

Relax and enjoy a stress-free Thanksgiving dinner with the American Indian Museum’s Mitsitam Cafe special take-home menu.

Many traditional holiday dishes are native to the Americas and are represented in Executive Chef Richard Hetzler’s 2011 holiday menu.  This year’s menu is portioned to serve three or more people and features a variety of savory and sweet delights, including:

  • Free-range, maple-brined turkey with cranberry marmalade
  • All-natural venison leg stuffed and smoked with dried berries and a spicebush red wine reduction.
  • Wild mushroom corn pone (porridge)
  • Lobster bread pudding
  • Chesapeake Oyster Stuffing
  • Wild rice and watercress salad
  • Pumpkin soup with maple candied chestnuts
  • Traditional Holiday Pies

A full menu and order form are available online.  All orders must be received by November 18, 2011 and will be available for pick-up on November 23 from 9:00 am-11:00 am or 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and November 24 from 9:00 am-11:00 am.
