    • Who knew that UC Davis produces olive oil? Really enjoyed meeting the students who were involved in the Land Grant Universities tents.

    • American Sign Language interpreters trying to sign along with some of the performances has been fun to watch. At the Opening Ceremony, the interpreter tried to keep up while Hip Hop Artist Head Roc was performing on the stage. At the Bring Back the Funk concert, the interpreter added some “funk” to his signing when George Clinton and the PFunk Allstars took the stage. It was wildly entertaining to watch the interpreters add all sorts of body syncopation and groove to their signing. At one point, Tom Joyner said to one of the interpreters at the Funk concert, “Girl, George Clinton is going to break your fingers…”
