Jazz it up at January’s Create: Smithsonian

What: Create: Smithsonian is an experimental monthly session where people from around the Institution come together to discuss interesting topics in surprising locations.

Who: This month, we’re exploring improvisation through the world of jazz with Ken Kimery, Dr. John Hasse, Joann Stevens and musicians from the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra. We’ll make some music, improvise a lot, and think about how we can all play more jazz in our work.

When:  January 31, 2013 at 4:00 p.m.

Where:  National Museum of American History, Reception Suite, first floor

After Party:  Continue the conversation in the Reception Suite at 5:30 p.m.

Why:  Participate in a new learning environment, try something different and have some fun! Oh yeah, and it will be awesome.

 Ask:  createsmithsonian@si.edu

All are welcome…and tell a friend!
