Office of Protection Services
Doug Hall, Deputy Director for Physical Security and Business Operations is now the Acting Director of the Office of Protection Services. Doug has 14 years of service within OPS, creating and overseeing the physical security program and managing all business and administrative functions.
Air and Space
Public Affairs specialists Isabel Lara and Brian Mullen have left NASM for new opportunities. Isabel is the Associate Director for Media Strategy at the National Education Foundation and Brian is Public Information Director for Research Clemson University.
Under Secretary for Finance and Administration
John Lapiana, Chief of Staff to the Regents, will be the new Deputy Under Secretary for Finance and Administration, the position previously held by Bruce Dauer prior to his recent move to Smithsonian Enterprises.
In this new role, John will oversee a number of significant administrative units and activities, including facilities, capital projects, security and information technology.
