Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art captured first place for excellence for exhibit catalogues from the Association of Art Museum Curators, New York. The exhibition catalogue, published by the Smithsonian American Art Museum in association with D Giles Ltd., London, was written by E. Carmen Ramos, curator of Latino art at the American Art Museum, with an introduction by U.S. Latino art scholar Tomás Ybarra-Frausto. The catalogue accompanied the exhibit on view at SAAM October 25, 2013—March 2, 2014; the exhibition is currently touring venues across the United States, and will open at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock on October 16.
The catalogue shared first-place honors with a publication from the Bard Graduate Center, New York.
