Party with the Primates!
Smithsonian staff and volunteers are invited to join Friends of the National Zoo for Grapes with the Apes at the National Zoo, Thursday, Sept. 1 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Zoo’s six western lowland gorillas and six orangutans will be staying up past their bedtimes as you mix and mingle at the Great Ape House. Enjoy animal demonstrations, live music, culinary delights sold from popular D.C. food trucks, the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind animal art, and a chance to win zoo-themed prizes and gifts.
General admission tickets include unlimited wine tastings, a commemorative wine glass, animal encounters, and plenty of wine you can purchase and save for later. VIP tickets include the general admission benefits, plus a private wine and hors d’oeuvres happy hour at the Think Tank exhibit, access to the VIP-only “Crush Pad,” delicious tastings from D.C. restaurants, exclusive animal encounters, and a take-home gift.
Staff and volunteers may purchase up to four tickets at the following discounted rates:
VIP – $115 per ticket
General Admission – $50 per ticket
