The 6th Annual SI Exhibits Share Fair, Collaborations and Partnerships, will take place Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Castle Commons.

Inspired by the One Smithsonian Strategic Plan, this year’s Share Fair explores collaboration both within and beyond the Institution’s walls. The event will spark conversations around the big questions that shape how we work together across the Smithsonian: How do we connect with each other to fill our own gaps in knowledge? How do we better join forces to amplify the power of the stories we tell? What commonalities in process and ethos do we share across units?

Table Presentations and Micro-sessions

  • The National Building Museum’s partnership with author Matthew Desmond to bring his prize-winning book, Evicted, to life
  • The Hirshhorn’s collaboration with artist Mark Bradford and students at Howard University
  • How the Office of the Chief Information Officer and the National Museum of African Art have joined forces to tell the story of African incised ivory tusks through 3D digitization
  • Highlights from Smithsonian in Your Neighborhood collaborations with Smithsonian Affiliate communities beyond Washington, D.C.
