Instead of flowers, give the gift of life for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. It’s a day to remember those you love, often by giving candy or flowers. This year, instead of (or in addition to!) giving Valentine’s candy, give the gift of life by donating blood our Red Cross Blood Drive. One unit of blood has the potential to save up to three lives!  Donating blood is one gift that cannot be purchased nor created in a laboratory–it must come from one human being to another. It’s that special. It’s that precious. It’s that important!

We will be having our next Red Cross Blood Drive for staff on the National Mall on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, February 14, between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm at the National Museum of American History, 3rd floor West, South Gallery.
