Diane Wapner has been a Smithsonian volunteer for 21 years. She divides her time between the information desks at both galleries and swears she will never leave.

Diane feels a strong connection to the Smithsonian and has made many good friends through volunteering. “One of the joys of volunteering,” she says, “is the personal connections and friendships I’ve made with other volunteers and with staff from the Office of Visitor Services.”
