In Memoriam: LeRoy London

LeRoy J. London
March 18, 1941 – July 25, 2018

LeRoy Joseph London died July 25 at his Washington, D.C. home. He was 77. A lifelong educator, Mr. London was an educator in the Prince George’s County School system, an education producer for Maryland Public Television and Chief of Education for the National Air and Space Museum until his retirement.

A a faithful member of Ward Memorial AME Church of Washington, D.C., Mr London was a member of the church’s Senior Choir and the Men’s Chorus. His hobbies included working in his home theater, where he enjoyed collecting and showing movies.

LeRoy Johnson is survived by his wife of 13 years, Merlene B. London; stepchildren Cecily Caldwell and Ernest David Caldwell, Jr.; and his children, David, Maurey, and Jeffery London; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
