Attention underfunded researchers!

Are you conducting research in the Mid-Atlantic region? Do you need money? (Of course you do!)

In Spring 2019, Smithsonian plans to join CESU–Chesapeake Watershed. CESU is the Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (Chesapeake Watershed), a network of more than 30 regional universities and non-governmental partners.

One benefit of joining is that participating federal agencies (listed below) interested in funding scientific or historical research can reach out directly to other members with identified expertise to seek assistance without requesting public bids or proposals.  Humming bird with flowerIf you are interested in being listed as an expert on CESU’s website to be eligible for this expedited federal funding, join the webinar to hear an overview of the program from the CESU – Chesapeake Watershed Research Coordinator, Dan Filer, and ask any questions you may have.

Areas of expertise for CESU include: natural sciences, social sciences, cultural recovery, ethnography, archeology, administrative history, and historical structures in Virginia, Maryland, DC, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
