The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami, Fla., a Smithsonian Affiliate, hosted a special evening March 18 for its members. “A Conversation with Smithsonian Scholars”  featured Dr. Charles Alcock, Director of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, and Frost Science Trustee Dr. Richard Kurin, Smithsonian Distinguished Scholar and Ambassador-at-Large. The two scholars discussed the conditions that allowed life to proliferate on Earth, and how research at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics is fueling the search for other life in the Universe. Following the lecture, Frost Science hosted a number of donors and board members for an intimate three-course dinner underneath the museum’s iconic Gulf Stream Aquarium Oculus in the Frost Planetarium.
