Today in Smithsonian History: September 25, 1946

September 25, 1946 The Smithsonian Centennial Exhibit closes at the U.S. National Museum.  The exhibit, which opened August 10, 1946, is located in the lower level of the north hall of the museum and includes about 50 objects honoring those who contributed to the National Collections.
