Search committee named for new SLA director
A search committee has been created identify and evaluate candidates for the new position of director of Smithsonian Libraries and Archives, which are being merged into a single unit. Nancy Gwinn, director of Smithsonian Libraries since 1997, has announced she will retire at the end of the year.
The committee will be assisted by an executive search firm in recommending finalists for the position. If you would like to suggest a candidate for consideration, please contact any member of the search committee.

Senior Program Officer Amy Marino will be assisting the committee. Scott Miller will serve as interim director of Smithsonian Libraries until the new Smithsonian Libraries and Archives director is hired.
