COVID-19 Update: Smithsonian Facilities Central Services

Until further notice, the central services provided by the Museum Support Services Division within Office of Facilities Management & Reliability, will continue to function without interruption.

Transportation Branch

  • All shuttle routes will operate on normal schedules
  • Vehicle fueling sites at Garber Facility, SERC, SCBI and NZP will be open
  • Vehicle Repair Shops at Garber Facility, SERC, SCBI and NZP will be open
  • At NZP, material movement and manure transport will operate normal schedules
  • Mail will be delivered daily on existing schedules (Unit must take measures to pick up mail daily)

Audio Visual Branch

  • Will be supporting existing events and scheduling AV support for future events

Metro Support Branch

  • Will operate on normal material pickup schedules and schedule future move requirements

If the ongoing situation evolves to a point whereas MSSD services will need to be adjusted, another announcement will be made- otherwise it is business as usual.
