Smithsonian honors Native American veterans with new memorial

The National Native American Veterans Memorial, designed by Harvey Pratt, will open to the public Nov. 11, 2020 on the grounds of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.

Taking up the charge given by Congress, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian has established a National Native American Veterans Memorial on the grounds of the museum on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
Join us on November 11 to celebrate Veterans Day with a virtual opening! The program will include tributes to Native veterans and an online tour of the memorial.
