Neither snow, nor rain, nor dark of night…

…will keep us from sharing about Naked Mail at the U.S. Postal Service

In December, the Office of Visitor Services and Volunteer Management (OVS), hosted three engaging speakers from the National Postal Museum (NPM) for a virtual program for volunteers across the Smithsonian. Alison Bazylinski, Assistant Curator, Lauren Maloy, Public Programs Manager, and Maggie Sigle, Volunteer and Intern Program Manager spoke to the group about Naked Mail. They shared the history of naked mail, highlighted objects from the NPM collection, offered a how-to guide to sending creative naked mail, and taught viewers how to make their own simple origami mail piece to be sent without an envelope.

If you were unable to join us for the program (or want to see it again), you can now watch the recording below!
