Women Changemakers You May Not Know: Bringing Books South

To commemorate Women’s History Month, we are releasing a new video each week in the series “Women Changemakers You May Not Know.”

Before the Civil Rights Movement, African Americans living in the rural South were often denied library access. The sisters of Delta Sigma Theta, a historically African American sorority, found creative ways to get books to readers in North Carolina and Georgia.
