TorchLight: Volunteer Appreciation Issue

Smithsonian volunteers play essential roles in sharing our rich collections, exhibitions, research, and educational programming with the public. In a normal year, more than 300 staff coordinate the more than 6,000 volunteers who work onsite at our facilities and another 14,000 who participate in projects online. But this hasn’t been a normal year.

In this issue of Torchlight, we celebrate our volunteers: their creativity, dedication, innovativeness and loyalty that have allowed us to adapt and change as we continue to serve the public.
