Volunteer Appreciation on Record

We’re wrapping up Volunteer Appreciation Month and sharing the recordings of our Appreciation Event that took place earlier in April.

As National Volunteer Appreciation Month comes to a close, we want to extend one more BIG thank you to our Smithsonian volunteers. When we opened our celebration on Volunteer Voices on April 1st, Secretary Bunch shared that “despite the challenging circumstances [of the last two years], the Smithsonian volunteer community’s mettle was proven by all the ways they stepped up.” This simply could not be more true. Your dedication, care, focus, and resilience have been astounding. We appreciate our volunteers this month and every month! Thank you for all you do.

We are happy to share the recording of every session from our 2nd Annual Smithsonian Volunteer Appreciation Event with Secretary Bunch! The live program took place on April 7th. If you missed it (or just want to watch it again) click the link below to access the event.

On a blue background, text reads "Thank you Volunteers!". Below that, there are four pictures of Smithsonian staff (and one elephant!) all holding signs that say "Thank you".

Volunteer supervisors (and an elephant at the National Zoo) appreciate our volunteers everyday!
