My Name, My Story
The Office of Head Diversity Officer presents the first of many programs that will support and promote diversity, equity and accessibility within our workforce and ensures that everyone in the Smithsonian community feels included and has an opportunity to thrive.
Our names carry stories of ancestry, immigration, assimilation, and lost and stolen heritages. What does it mean to belong in this country? Who gets to belong? These are the questions our country has been struggling with since the beginning. Join to hear your Smithsonian colleagues talk about identity and inclusion through their name stories.
