State of Our Union: Telling the American Story

Join Secretary Bunch for a special event discussing how we have a responsibility to craft an American story that has room for all.

Please join Secretary Bunch for a special virtual discussion, co-presented by the Smithsonian and the Mellon Foundation, Thursday, January 26 at 4:00 p.m. ET.

The Secretary will be joined by another of our country’s foremost cultural leaders, Elizabeth Alexander of the Mellon Foundation, to discuss how we can build scholarship and institutions to open a fuller understanding of history and culture in the United States.

Although this virtual event is free, registration is required. Registrants will receive a link to the livestream prior to the event.
