What was the Paleo Diet really like?
Earlier this week, the Office of Visitor Services and Volunteer Management hosted our Smithsonian Volunteer Enrichment program, What was the real Paleo Diet?
The modern “paleo” diet movement makes many assumptions about what our ancient human ancestors ate. But were those assumptions based on actual evidence?
Dr. Briana Pobiner, paleoanthropologist and Human Origins educator at the National Museum of Natural History, discussed significant changes in the evolution of human diets and highlighted what makes human meat-eating unique.
If you were unable to join us for the live program (or want to watch it again), the recording is now available! As a reminder, we ask that you do not share our recordings outside of the Smithsonian as a courtesy to our presenters. Click the link below to access the program.
