SI Civil Annual Report FY 2023

SI Civil has released the Fiscal Year 2023 SI Civil Report on Harassment and Workplace Culture, which highlights the continued accomplishments of the program and presents high-level data on reported incidents of harassing conduct and other concerning behaviors in the workplace.

The SI Civil Program was established in January 2021 as a resource for Smithsonian employees and affiliated individuals to report incidents of intimidation, harassing conduct, and other such concerning behaviors.

In Fiscal Year 2023, we promised and delivered on continued enhancements to the SI Civil Program, including additional supervisory training and more resources to support staff. We recently published the Fiscal Year 2023 SI Civil Report on Harassment and Workplace Culture, which highlights the continued accomplishments of the program and presents high-level data on reported incidents of harassing conduct and other concerning behaviors in the workplace.

As a reminder, the SI Civil website provides more information on the various ways you can report incidents; how to find additional support; and details related to the Smithsonian’s policies, procedures, and training opportunities.  You should also expect to see a message soon announcing additional SI Civil training for non-supervisory staff, including affiliated individuals.

We hope you will join Smithsonian leadership and SI Civil in our ongoing commitment to making the Smithsonian a more welcoming, respectful, and supportive place to work and visit. Please reach out to SI Civil staff if you have questions or training requests: sicivil@si.edu
