Smithsonian Sleepovers are back!

Smithsonian Associates is excited to announce that Smithsonian Sleepovers are returning to the National Museum of Natural History this summer! We wanted to offer current Smithsonian volunteers the first chance to volunteer for this fun event.

All adventures will take place at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. Arrival time is 6:00 p.m. and the event concludes at 11 p.m.

Please note: volunteers will not be spending the night at the museum.

Volunteers will have fun as an Activities Leader at this scavenger-hunt style event. With a fellow volunteer, they will facilitate a game, craft, relay race or another creative activity at a stop along the route. Orientation is provided.

Participants in the Smithsonian Sleepovers are kids ages 8 to 14 with their chaperoning adults.

There are six summertime dates available:

  • Friday, June 14
  • Friday, June 28
  • Saturday, July 13
  • Saturday, July 27
  • Friday, August 2
  • Saturday, August 10
