¡Hola! Bienvenidos al Smithsonian

The Smithsonian Pocket Guide for visitors is now available in Spanish as a printer-friendly download at Maps and Brochures | Smithsonian Institution (si.edu)

If you volunteer at one of our Washington, D.C., area museums, you’ve probably already seen the new Smithsonian Pocket Guide. It’s available at all D.C.-area information desks/welcome centers in English print, braille, and large print and in Spanish print.

If you’re outside the D.C area, you can now check out the Smithsonian Pocket Guide in both the original print version in English and large print and in a printer-friendly digital format in English and Spanish at Maps and Brochures | Smithsonian Institution (si.edu)

The Pocket Guide includes the new map and brief information about each Smithsonian museum, the National Zoo, and Smithsonian Gardens on one side. The other side highlights the Virtual Visitor Center and its various features: the My Visit tool, Virtual Information Desk, Castle Stories, and Smithsonian Scavenger Hunts. It has expanded accessibility information and a call-out to Smithsonian Ambassadors on the Mall. Of course, it still includes information on how to contact us and ideas for staying in touch from home. The printed versions of the Pocket Guide should be stored under your information desk and distributed upon request only.

We’ll be working on additional foreign languages in print and digital in 2025; they’ll be distributed and uploaded as they are completed, so keep an eye on Maps and Brochures | Smithsonian Institution (si.edu)

We’d love to hear your feedback and hope you and our visitors enjoy them!

Bridget Balog is an OVS Visitor Services Coordinator, responsible for managing and responding to visitor inquiries via email and postal mail, producing and distributing the Smithsonian-wide visitor brochure, and managing OVS’s exterior signage program.
