Guidance on deferred resignation

The Office of Human Resources clarifies that Smithsonian employees are not eligible for offers of “deferred resignation.”

You have likely seen media reports that federal employees received emails from the Office of Personnel Management presenting “deferred resignation” offers. We do not believe any Smithsonian federal employees received these emails.
