Passes now required for staff and volunteers visiting the Air and Space Museum

As the Smithsonian enters the very busy spring and summer seasons, please remember to reserve your passes for the National Air and Space Museum’s National Mall Building in advance of your planned visit.

Passes are available at a link on the National Mall Building visit page of the Museum’s website: https://airandspace.si.edu/visit/museum-dc

These passes are required for Smithsonian staff, affiliates, volunteers and their guests. 

Anyone entering the Museum, except for work or official business, MUST have a pass to ensure all visitors have a high-quality experience.

In addition:

  • A limited number of same-day timed-entry passes will be released online each day, beginning at 8:30am.
  • An individual can reserve up to six free timed-entry passes for their visit. For groups of 10 or more, please reserve group passes a minimum of three weeks in advance of the desired visit date.
  • All visitors, regardless of age, must have a timed-entry pass to enter the Museum.
  • Free timed-entry passes will be delivered via an Etix email. They may be presented digitally on a phone or printed out.
  • Tickets are not transferable and my not be sold or traded.

If you do not initially find passes for the day you would like to visit, check back on the website; additional passes may become available.
