About the Author:

Stacy Bowe works within the Smithsonian Cultural Rescue Initiative and was the local course coordinator for the FAC 2016 course. She received a master's degree in Managing Archaeological Sites from the Institute of Archaeology, University College London in 2013. Previously, Stacy was the Department Assistant in the Department of Conservation and Scientific Research at the Smithsonian’s Freer|Sackler Gallery, where she oversaw the administrative management of the office and assisted conservators on several technical studies.
