“Undiscovered America” is a project to photograph unique but lesser-known natural wonders across the United States before they are lost to development, energy production, or urban sprawl. The project was inspired by the work of Timothy O’Sullivan, Thomas Moran, and others landscape artists with artwork in the Smithsonian American Art Museum collection, who documented the most famous natural wonders across America.
