As a scientific illustrator, I have had the privilege of making a living doing ink drawings of specimens housed in the mysterious world behind the marble walls of science museums. Old specimens might tell sad stories or hint at the mysteries of exploration. They whisper about the excitement for discovery and the inevitable nexus of man and nature. My work expresses a synthesis of my experience discovering science and inspiring specimens from the Smithsonian and other great museums of the world with the sense of wonder and imagination that brought me down this path in the first place.
