Throughout the last decade, the Smithsonian museums have served as a sort of revolving door for my continuing education and development as a painter. Since I began work with the Freer and Sackler Galleries, my interest, focus and reverence toward the process of art making, and those artists throughout history that have shaped its course, has only grown deeper. The opportunity to work each day to interpret and elucidate the accomplishments of our artistic heritage is one that I continue to treasure, and one that continues to revive and inspire me.
