Working with the Smithsonian Institution scientist has allowed me to see ecosystems that are disappearing because of mankind. I use the translucent human figure in a decaying setting as a visual metaphor representing mankind’s transience on the planet. With this work, I hope to challenge the viewers to question their perception of mankind’s time and place on earth.
