Please join the COVID-19 Response Team for a Smithsonian Virtual All-Staff Meeting on Thursday, February 25 at 10:00 am EST. The discussion will cover the science and basics of vaccines, the phased rollout of the vaccine, how the Smithsonian is supporting vaccination efforts, and what you need to know about getting vaccinated.

The meeting will be webcast live on Prism at https://sinet.sharepoint.com/sites/prism. You must be able to access the Smithsonian network (through VPN or telework.si.edu) to view the live stream. If you do not have access to PRISM, you can also view the event here. The entire program will be recorded and will be available for later viewing.

Panelists will include:

  • Rich Wright, Response Team Deputy Coordinating Officer, Chair of the Reopening Task Force, and Director of the Office of Safety, Health and Environmental Management (OSHEM)
  • Elliot Gruber, Lead Advisor to the Reopening Task Force and Director of the National Postal Museum
  • Anne McDonough, MD MPH, Response Team Public Health Lead and Associate Director, Occupational Health Services, OSHEM
  • Eileen Hartigan, RN, COVID-19 Response Team and Occupational Health Nurse Manager, Occupational Health Services, OSHEM

You will be able to submit your questions to the panel in real time by typing them into the chat screen on the right of the video. We hope to address as many questions as possible during the event, so please keep your questions brief and direct.

The event will be closed captioned in real-time. Should you require an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, please email Alex Butera at Buteraa@si.edu.

We look forward to seeing you on February 25!

Stay safe and be well,

COVID-19 Response Team
