Secretary Bunch announced August 2 that Becky Boutwell Kobberod will join the Smithsonian August 30 Head of Digital Transformation. As the HDT, Becky will report to the Office of the Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer and work collaboratively across all our units and programs. Kobberod joins the Smithsonian from The Nature Conservancy, where she served as the Director of Global Digital and led the creation and execution of the organization’s global digital strategy, as well as spearheaded the organization’s cross-divisional $30 million digital transformation.

“I look forward to Becky bringing to the Smithsonian her experience managing multiple global channels, standardizing organizational digital practices, and leveraging new strategy, data, and technology to transform how we can reach, engage, and retain diverse audiences,” said Secretary Bunch.

Prior to joining The Nature Conservancy, Kobberod worked for over a decade in both for-profit and not-for-profit sectors executing marketing strategies in support of organizational business goals.
