The Robot in the Mirror

It’s easy to think that artificial intelligence must, by definition, be objective. Robots don’t have emotion; they operate according to computer programming and mathematical calculations. But artificial intelligence is created by human intelligence. Is AI carrying our very human prejudices and biases into the future? In this episode of Sidedoor, we step into the Smithsonian’s FUTURES exhibition to meet a very special robot who asks us to consider: Whose image will be reflected in the future of AI?
