OSHEM COVID Program Update: COVID Regional Levels are LOW at all Smithsonian locations
The COVID Team is pleased to report that, as of this week, all Smithsonian locations are now in the lowest COVID community prevalence category. This is a long-sought milestone, and we are extremely happy to see this prolonged trend in the right direction.
While this is the first time all our regions have been in the Low category at the same time, it does not mean that COVID has completely left the communities where we live and work. Because of this, we continue to require all who report on site to honestly take the daily health screening questions and follow the instructions. Please keep your health in mind as we enter allergy season and use at-home tests to confirm if unusual-for-you symptoms are or are not COVID. Remember, if you’re sick, stay home!
The Smithsonian COVID Program will continue to monitor the health metrics in each of the regions where we operate. If the situation worsens in any area, we will respond accordingly and will adjust the regional levels as needed. If you have any questions or would like more information, please visit the Way Ahead website or email the OSHEM COVID Program staff.
Thank you for your continuous flexibility as we weathered the ups and downs of COVID together.
Stay COVID Safe,
OSHEM COVID Program
