Do you want to be part of the biggest giving day of the year?

This week we’re not highlighting a specific cause, instead we want to share that tomorrow, Tuesday, November 28, is Giving Tuesday, one of the most important days of the year for the 5,000+ CFC charities.

The holidays are upon us and one of the best ways to ring in the season is with a gift through the Combined Federal Campaign. The CFC gives each of us the opportunity to support the causes that we care about.

In addition to your generous pledge, I encourage you to supplement your gift with something invaluable: your time. Through the CFC you could tutor a child after school, clean up your neighborhood park, serve a hot meal at a shelter, translate legal documents for a refugee, and more. Visit the online charity search or take a look in the Charity Listing to find CFC organizations accepting volunteer pledges.

Our goal is to make this the biggest giving day of the campaign. We can make this happen! Donate today. (Please make sure that you list 20560 for the Smithsonian Zip Code when donating.)

  • If you haven’t pledged yet, tomorrow’s the day!
  • If you are new to the CFC, give it a try. Just $5 per pay period makes a big difference.
  • If you have pledged, thank you! Would you consider making an additional one-time gift on Giving Tuesday? Or adding a volunteer pledge? Have you invited a coworker to join you?

Let’s demonstrate the generous nature of the Smithsonian community. Thank you for your commitment to changing our world!
