General Information

Note that for some employees, Smithsonian’s payroll provider, the National Finance Center (NFC) may be unable to process the pay adjustment automatically.  This situation generally occurs when intervening Personnel Actions have been processed.  The Office of Human Resources (OHR) will monitor pay adjustments that are not automatically processed and OHR will notify the affected units so that affected employees are notified.  In most cases, the issues are resolved within two pay periods and employees will receive any missed retroactive pay adjustment amounts retroactive to January 14, 2024.
