Tails of Bravery (Pun very much intended)

From chariot horses and armed dolphins to carrier pigeons and super-secret spy cats, as long as men have gone to war, they have taken animals with them. Some of these non-human warriors have served so courageously that their stories have been immortalized at the Smithsonian. In honor of these furry and feathered war heroes, we bring you the tales of dogs, cats and birds who went above and beyond the call of duty.

Is it just us or is this dog way too happy about being blown up?
