2024 Palmer Leadership participants announced
Antonio Guzman, Director of the Office of Human Resources has announced the participants in the 2024 Russell E. Palmer Leadership Development Program.
The Smithsonian Leadership Development Program was created in 2007 to cultivate the next generation of leaders at the Smithsonian. The program was renamed in 2012 to honor National Board Member Russell E. Palmer’s continued support and guidance of this important initiative.
The Palmer Leadership Development Program is highly competitive and accepts just 25 applicants each year. Aimed at professionals at the GS/IS 13 and 14 levels across the Smithsonian, the program aims to strengthen its participants’ ability to lead through improving collaboration, communication, and conflict management skills. The program provides professional development, training and mentoring designed to create a pan-Institutional team ready to face the Smithsonian’s future challenges and opportunities.
