Celebrate Women’s History Month with the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum
Celebrate Women’s History Month with new offerings from the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum:
- Check out our first digital exhibition, Becoming Visible: Bringing American Women’s History into Focus, launching March 8th on International Women’s Day. This 10-minute interactive experience demonstrates how women’s history is often obscured or forgotten—and the critical need to uncover these stories to create a more accurate and inclusive record of American history.
- Dive deeper into the stories of the five remarkable women featured in our first digital exhibition, Becoming Visible: Bringing American Women’s History into Focus, at a virtual inside look with curators on March 14th at 3PM ET. The program will feature an introduction from Lynda Carter, a member of our museum’s Advisory Council.
- Help increase the representation of women on Wikipedia by joining our Becoming Visible Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on March 27th from 11AM to 2PM ET. Training will be provided for anyone new to the Wikipedia editing process.
- Check out our website for regular updates, including information about our inaugural co-creation initiative for filmmakers and community builders launching March 11th.
- Follow us on social media @SmithsonianWomen.
- Sign-up for our e-newsletter for the latest museum news.
