Start your own cosmic journey

The Smithsonian Wellness Team, in conjunction with the SI Bike and SI Run Teams, is selling special Smithsonian-branded cycling jerseys, bib shorts and caps, as well as workout tees and running tops.

The newly designed apparel celebrates the Smithsonian’s Cosmic Journey with an iconic image taken from the Chandra X-Ray Observatory. Show the world you’re on your own cosmic journey as you ride or run in one of these striking jerseys!

Chandra-themed cycling gear

(The real gear will not look as if it was designed using MS Paint. Promise!)

Employees, friends, and family can place a pre-order between now and September 20, 2024. When the online order closes, the items will go into production for delivery in 6 to 8 weeks. This is your only opportunity to own this gear—once the order closes, no more of this design will be made.

The SI-Run-Wellness-Team with over 180 members, provides a forum for all levels of runners. The group has regular virtual challenges, so they can support and encourage the efforts of our co-workers. These include posting about individual challenges to participating in joint challenges, such as using an app to record the mileage of all participants for a week and seeing how far we can go together.
