The Smithsonian Grand Challenges Consortia invite you to an Open House from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Suite 107 of the Castle.
The Open House is an opportunity to meet colleagues from many different disciplines, museums and research centers across the Smithsonian.
In addition, Nancy Proctor, SI’s head of mobile strategy, will be on site with other experienced SI mobile practitioners to answer questions and explain how mobile technology can expand outreach and engage new audiences for your projects.
Refreshments will be provided.
The Consortia foster a spirit of collaborative, interdisciplinary intellectual exchange, within the Smithsonian and beyond, around the Institution’s four Grand Challenges:
- Unlocking the Mysteries of the Universe
- Understanding and Sustaining a Biodiverse Planet
- Valuing World Cultures
- Understanding the American Experience
